A short face scan confirms you are the person on the document and that a real person is present. It is matched once, then the scan is deleted.

I confirm I am 18 or over, that the ID provided is genuine and mine, and I understand that false verification results in a permanent bar from NHS Pulse.

Checks are run by an accredited identity provider. We store only the pass/fail result, your verified age band and your NHS role — never the document images.
